Assistant Pastor Julia F. Ward-Farmer grew up in the Bullhead Community of Greene County, NC. She attended the local area public schools and is a graduate of Greene Central High School. She went on to pursue an education at Wilson Community College, Nash Community College and Wesleyan College.

Recognizing and nurturing the anointing and calling upon her life, Assistant Pastor Julia F. Farmer preached her initial sermon in February 1997. From her youth until present, she has served in numerous positions within the church, which included the following: Choir member, Usher, Sunshine Band/YPCL President, Senior Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess, Bible Study Teacher, Home Mission Member and Vacation Bible School Teacher. In 2016, she was officially named Leventon Chapel’s Assistant Pastor.

In addition to serving in various capacities of leadership throughout the years, Assistant Pastor Julia F. Farmer has also been involved in a variety of ministerial endeavors that prepared her to embrace lost souls and minister to the whole individual regardless of challenges or limitations.

Following years of preparation for leadership as a youth, Assistant Pastor Julia F. Farmer began serving as Sunshine Band Convention Assistant Secretary, Secretary, and later President on the state level where she served diligently for more than 20 years.

She has over 30-years of Case Management experience. After the sudden death of her mother, the late Pastor Virginia Ward, she assisted her father, James Oscar Ward in raising 5 of her siblings. In 1977, she was united in Holy Matrimony to her husband, Deacon Larry Farmer. To this union, two daughters were born and she is blessed with three grandchildren.

Presently, she may have physical limitations, but she doesn’t allow being disabled to interfere with her being a disciple of Christ.
